Mehul C. Mehta

Dr. Mehta provides strategic leadership and direction for PHMI and oversees its corporate and clinical research programs internationally. He has extensive experience in the health care industry and is an expert on the global landscape of health care systems development. He has expertise in strategy, negotiation, clinical research models, and governance models. Prior to joining PHMI, Dr. Mehta was a consultant with McKinsey & Company, where he focused on working with clients in the health care industry.

His international project experience began at Schepens Retinal Associates, for which he led the group’s international expansion into India. Dr. Mehta received his MBBS and MS in ophthalmology from the University of Bombay. He completed his postgraduate clinical training at Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infi rmary and Schepens Eye Research Institute. He also holds a master’s degree in Brain and Cognitive Systems from Boston University, and has published and lectured extensively in his fi eld. He is a clinical instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School.
