Timothy R. Morse was senior vice president of CNA HealthPro. Effective January 1, 2008, he retired from this position but continues to serve CNA HealthPro in a part-time advisory capacity. In his role as senior vice president, Tim was responsible for overseeing underwriting and strategy for the various insurance products and services CNA offers healthcare providers and facilities worldwide.

Under his leadership, CNA developed a national platform for healthcare professional liability
providing coverage across the wide spectrum of healthcare. Today, CNA HealthPro’s gross written premium exceeds $1 billion dollars. HealthPro is now commencing operations in the United Kingdom and Western European marketplaces. Prior to joining CNA in May of 2001, Tim managed various segments of St. Paul Fire and Marine medical liability insurance operations, then the world’s largest medical liability insurer. Tim first began his insurance career in 1972. He has worked exclusively in the medical liability arena since 1980. Tim has been a frequent commentator on medical liability insurance issues.

Tim has a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Cloud State University and received his CPCU designation in 1980. He currently resides in Apple Valley, Minnesota with his wife Cheryl. They have two children: Kristy, a nurse at the University of Minnesota Hospital, and Erik a sophomore at St. John’s University.
